We have 2 days left……………
Well..2 days until we leave Minnesota and embark on a 6 day journey to Alaska.
We arrived home from Florida 22 days ago and started packing and packing and packing, oh and did I mention that we are packing. This will be our third move in 5 years and so far we are letting go of so much. I think the ladies at Goodwill cringe every time they see us dive up to the donation door. Bless them, they are such good sports. I even had a first a few Saturdays ago. I donated household items during a hail storm. The poor employee was terrified, she kept running back inside and I was just thankful for the huge dive up awning that was protecting my car.
Tonight, August 9th, is officially the last night we will be sleeping in the place we have called home over the last 3 years while we finished training at Proclaim Aviation Ministries. It is bittersweet. We are thankful for Proclaim, The Gathering (our church), and the people we have built precious relationships with. We will miss you all and look forward to furlough when we can see your faces in person again.
Tomorrow we pick up a moving truck and will being the process of loading our household up. Friday we finish loading the truck, clean our rental home, and say our final “goodbye for now's". Saturday morning, early, we start our 6 day trip by making the 10 hour trip to the Canadian Boarder. We are looking forward to all the sights we will get to take in on this drive to Alaska. It seems like a daunting trip but there is quite a sense of adventure there as well. Oh, and do not worry, we will have the girls split between the U-Haul and the Ford so the fighting, I mean sisterly love, should be to a minimum. 🤣
All of us, Kenny, Jocelyn, Keira, and Layla, want to say thank you!!!! Seriously, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial partnership. During our trip to Florida we were blessed with a few new ministry partners and we are thankful for each of you. Thank you for being a part of what God is doing in Alaska.
As of our last update we were at 96% of our monthly financial needs. Currently, we are at 92%. Yes, sadly there was a decrease. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had a few partners have to take a step back. This is where we need you all. Please prayerfully consider partnering with our family monthly and the work that is taking place in Alaska through Missionary Aviation Repair Center. Kenny and I are confident we will reach 100% funding before we reach Alaska.😁
Our family is beyond excited to start serving with MARC. This is what all our training has lead up to and we are thrilled to be launching into the mission field by serving the people of Alaska. God has been so faithful in the journey he has us on and we know he will continue. ♥️
How you can pray:
Pray over our drive up.
Pray for our integration into the MARC family.
Pray we settle into our new community well.
Pray for new monthly financial and prayer partners.
